This Thread for Pioneer AVIC-D3 Installs.

Pay for radio sounds bad..... 3 bucks a month and most of the anoying parts of radio are gone!

I had tweeter install mine.... anything is less frustrating than having to fix something you payed for!

Hahah No idea who tweeter is, and i thought satilite radio is like 12 a month.

OHHHHHH
Damn dont confuse me like that lol.
and how much do the satilite modules run???

the box you'll need to go with the avic is about 100 bucks.... they are for any pioneer, so if you dont like the chance of selling it is fairly decent!

Damn thats alot of money lol does it at least come with a freaking reacharound ?

Do you have it so the DVD player plays while driving ?

not yet thats this weekends project.... easy to do but I would do it before installing th wiring harness

honestly, depending on th deal you find, your paying almost a grand for the deck. You would be sodomizing your family pet not to spend the extra money to unleash all the features of the $1000 investment you've already made!

Hahaha dont talk about lifetime, my gf loves that freaking channel.

Grrrr i guess might as well get my bang for the buck!
Oh is it difficult to do the dvd play as u drive ? hahah drive around the town with a porno going on with system turned all the way up :D

actually, best buy has had the D3 on sale for $699.99 pretty regularly, and if it is one of the newer shipments they come with the bluetooth kit packaged inside!:D

The bluetooth module is DEFINITELY worth it. It's not perfect. I have a Treo 650 and I still cant get the names from my contact list to show up on the avic on an incoming (or even outgoing) call comes in. No big deal..I usually recognize the actual number showing up on the avic, or worse case..I pick up the Treo from the cupholder and see whose calling. Also..I HATED Ipods before I got the Avic. Overpriced, can get more space/features for 1/2 price with a Creative Labs Nomad. BUT..the ability to load up the Ipod, stick it away in the locked glovebox, and control it from the Avic? Priceless. And with a video Ipod (which I have), I load the Ipod up with music videos from LimeWire and presto...music videos on the Avic AND on my headrest monitors. Try THAT with a Zune.

you forgot homemade porn of your lady!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Ok im truely confused right now, I emailed the teamford parts to ask about the bezel and this was his response.

"Victor, What we carry is the faceplate from the 03-06 LS in satin silver, but it's for the CD-6 radio. People usually cut out the insert to install aftermarket Nav. systems. I can send you a photo if you like, but it's listed the catalog with a photo already, http://www.teamfordparts.com/partlo...fo&PartID=327271&siteid=214270&catalogid=4014 "

So is it just the standard 6cd changer with the front cutout ?? im so confused !!

That's the right face plate. You have to cut out the interior part of it.

not sure why it says 6 cd.....all you do is order that part and paint if needed and cut out the back and now you have a kit that fits a d3 or most other doulble din units

i think that most of what you have to do to the bezel is posted earlier in this thread. I got my bezel and just started cutting away about half way through i realized that i had screwed up and cut way more off than i needed to, it still looks ok but i want it to look perfect...so ill be ordering another one myself...:yuck:

Well thats what I didnt get the whole part about the 6-cd Changer cause in that case I could just take mine out and cut and throw my Pioneer in . But is it just me cause when I look at the pic I dont see the faceplate just what looks like to be the back of the bezel or am I looking at it wrong?
