I don't believe in additives. I believe in preventive maintenance :D

I use fuel injector cleaner with every oil change as preventive maintenance. I did it in my 89 caprice for the 2 years I had it, on the Aveo for 3 yaers and 45,000k. And will continue it with the LS. I use Lucas. Once the injectors get so gummed they will never come clean like new, so I do this to keep the clean.

I use the injector cleaner from lucas i put it in my gas tank.... does wonders.. I use it in all my cars

The best fuel cleaner for your Ford product is Motorcraft premium fuel injector cleaner #pm-6 $15. BG Products also makes great additives.

Seafoam

I just did the Seafoam thing yesterday and I can definately feel an improvement. On the way back home from a fishin' trip my car stalled twice on me when I was on a stop light. That same day I did the Seafoam through the throttle body thing and the car smoked for a bit ( like 10 mins ). So far the car hasn't stalled and I've taken several lights. Let's hope it's something attributed to the cleaning. :) I'll check it later to see if it's been stalling.

i put in pre-drain treatment when doing my engine oil, and your usual $6 injector cleaner every once in a while, but nothing too special. the pre-oil change treatment though i recommend on any car. used to work at goodyear and sears auto, we charged like $20 to do it and its only 4 or 5 bucks a bottle and 5 minutes of running the engine to do clean it out and it makes a big difference on what you drain out.

Is that the same thing as motor flush? You put it in and run for 5 min or so then drain. It sounds the same.

I am a HUGE fan of Seafoam. It does tend to help an ever so slight miss that comes up from time to time.
