I have had a 'stumble' or hesitation when lightly accelerating from low speed. I believed it to be the common COP problem much discussed here. I have 113K miles on my '02 V-8 and replaced one coil when I replaced the plugs at about 100K. Since my racing could very well use a 'hotter' ignition, I got together with Accel and have just received a new set of coils and installed them. The engine definitely runs better, but the occasional stumble is still present. Supposing that this, just conceivably, could be an injector problem, I'm going to run some Seafoam through. It could be of benefit even if it doesn't completely relieve the problem.

Now the question--- Has anyone else had the symptoms I have described? What is your experience, and what did you do to correct it. The major problem is that the randomness and short duration of the difficulty makes it almost impossible to do a diagnosis, and there is no thrown code. So---WHAT DO YOU KNOW???? (For more on the COP issue see 'Land Speed LS' in the HP section.)

Did you notice any oil in the spark plug wells when you replaced the COPs? Or oil on or around the valve cover?

Also, did you replace just the coils, or the coils & boots?

See 'Land Speed LS'. Thanks for your interest.
