I can't remember exactly but I can see how this might help future members.

For those who have factory navigation with their LS I remember you could go into the programming section by holding the top and bottom button simultaneously next to the nav screen until a keycode pad comes up. I can't remember the code but when you enter it, it takes you in a whole car diagnostic system like current exact elevation, lat+long, bearing. Also audio diagnostics like a self test.

I remember seeing another feature but I could never try it because I never remembered to when I had a check engine light on. I'm pretty sure it allowed you to pull up diagnostic trouble codes that the car's computer was throwing.

Was I imagining this or does it work, has anyone used it?

I'm pretty sure it did. It interfaces with the car's computer and it took a few seconds to scan and it'd show a code if you had one

Yeah, hold the top and bottom buttons next to the screen simultaneously for 5 seconds. A screen comes up prompting a pin. It's 1791 I think or 1971. Inside there is all sorts of cool little things to mess with.

Don't push "software update" or else it'll wipe itself clean unless you have a firmware update disk.

Just realise you can be messing with stuff that isn't supposed to be messed with.
