Generally, if I see a mistake, I bring it to the attention of the seller first, usually through the eBay email system. If they are a reputable seller, they will generally fix the problem.

Despite eBay's claims of certain types of recourse for unsatisfactory transactions, the buyers have to ask lots of questions, especially if you intend to spend significant coinage on things like vehicular apparatuses and such.
