Which time?
first one died at the track.
weather was nice

second one I replaced at my bosses house, on the ground IN THE RAIN.
and.. for conversations sake..
just because your "under a car" doesnt mean you "dont get wet"...
HAHA
I got soaked... with both water, gas and a combination of both.
YUK.

Bill at SuperCoupe got back to me - he sent the wrong filter.

That does not make me happy at all.

Sucks you have to "go back in there", but ATLEAST this time you will know exactly what you need to do.. which should make the job alot easier.

I know the "second time around" was much easier for me..

you'll probably accomplish it in half the time as your first attempt.

still sucks though..sorry to hear that.

Hmmm this thread has me really thinkin now ohh boy lol... Well I think I will just stick with the reg walboro pump like most ppl use. Not sure if I want to step up to a 255 though might just get a 190. I do know I will set a side an entire saturday to do this lol.

The 255 is audible. The pump itself and the massive flow of fuel at the rails can be heard inside the car. It does not bother me. For anyone a 190 is fine. I needed better than stock with my setup, I was leaning out at high RPM but I bet even a 255 is over-kill for me.

As for me my 94 is stock. But next year I plan on either gettin an Aviator engine like you or some other sort of newer 4.6. If $$$ really allows I will get 04 Cobra heads and a set of comp cams. But the last part is a maybe.
In my stang I had a 255 pump, bigger injectors and it was all muffled by the exhaust =) just another reason I need to save up $359.99 lol

ever since i started running this walboro - my cars been running rich... getting that sulfer smell at wot. Another thing is that my car takes longer to start then it used to before - any ideas on that? - more fuel probably in the mixture? ill bet that my plugs and wires are crap - i bet theyve never been changed! I can't wait to get some new stuff in there, what do you guys recommend. I've seen something about stage II colder plugs??? and nology wires? I did the fuel filter and pump at the same time, with the chip, i bet my plugs can't keep up with the burn.
and for the fuel pump being loud, if you listen you can can hear it over my exhaust at idle, sounds sweet - i like it.

You need a tune to run cooler plugs. I would go one stage cooler unless you plan on going with forced induction, in which case two stages cooler would be best. Motorcraft wires are fine as you'll see little to no gain out of high end wires.

Abe forget the internet hyped Nology wires unless you just have piles of disposable cash..
Seriously... a good set of Ford Racing wires will serve you well at about 1/3 of the cost or less.

The fuel pump wont "cause" your car to run rich, your cars AF ratio is set by your chip/tuner. Fuel pump cannot overwrite tables in your PCM.

You are more than likely on the right track with "plugs and wires".

I would suggest motorcraft spark plugs # AWSFA-22C.
they are one step colder than your stock plug and will allow "more timing" from your PCM.

Most autoparts stores say "those" plugs do not exist.... you can find them on Blue Oval Chips website and I believe Dennis Reinhart sells them as well.

You might have to look "long and hard" before a "local motorcraft" dealer will order then for you.

I get them locally here in houston for right at 20.00 a set.

If the person you shop with tells you they "dont exist" then find another retailer...or order then online.

your diagnosis seems sound, running rich, hard start... that leans towards plugs and wires.

you can call Max at fivestar ford and order both the plugs and wires from the same place.. if you have never ordered from Max, your going to be asking yourself... why you didn't use Max before.

We use max for all our hard to find ford/lincoln parts, he's ALWAYS come thru for us.

well the fuel pump and filter could be causing my car to run correctly which would be rich, because the wires and plugs probably arn't up to the task.

I'm planning on running a hundred dry shot sometime in the near future. Will those motocraft be up to the task?

until you actually "PUT" the nitrous on your car, the awsfa 22c will be fine.
WHEN you put the nitrous on your car pull the 22 c's out and put awsfa 12 C's in..

running the 12c without running nitrous will be a drag {loss in hp)

ok gotcha, how about the cop's i was doing some searching and read about something called motoblue that are not replacements but it replaces the boots that commonly tear... am i right here?

i also read that performence coils are a waiste of money, and that the stock ones are very capable.

im going to start with the those plugs and wires... but im worried that if my boots are beat, i dont want to be taping them with rubber like i read on another post. i hope they're not beat!

COPS are only on gen 2s. Stick with motorcraft coil packs as well. You'd need to be producing near 1000hp to need better.
