I have been tossing the idea around for a while but I didn't want a mess of wires & crap + I wanted to keep the factory stereo, CD changer & speakers. I just wanted to add some bass to it. I was almost ready to buy a 10" bazooka amplified tube untill I found this set up.
2 Bazooka 10"s in a box with a built in amp. Circuit city had it on sale for $169 bux. I figured that it would sound OK, but this thing really rocks!
I tapped into each rear speaker & ran the wires into the trunk for the amp. Since it had high & low inputs I just used the high. This box fit perfectly & even had the correct angle to it, so it sits flush against the rear seat. I secured it with screws to the X brace so nobody will be taking it out unless they remove the rear seat! If you have been thinking about doing this also you might want to consider this set-up!
