have you done the switch from the no-talent flip-up holders to the 02 model cupholders? i'm still confused on where to find the parts... please be helpful yet again.... :(
 
Sorry... I was on a measure for a kitchen remodel. :D

You need the entire 02 center console. The dealership charges way too much for the console. The one I called wanted $324 something. I've been checking salvage yards for months, patiently waiting for one to pop up...

whoa... your into more than remodeling just your LS... I do tile work :rolleyes:
 
I'm a kitchen designer. I also sell flooring and windows.

I tried ceramic installation a couple of times, and after a shower job, I have determined that you guys are worth every penny. :D

I don't mind shower surrounds... so long as I'm not tiling the ceiling... THAT is when it becomes a total b!tch...

Yeah, I do construction and remodeling work too... find myself doing more tile work over-all though. But it's just side jobs for me; I'd lose my passion and enjoyment for it were it my main income.
 
I did my sister's shower surround. She wanted 2 niches built in for soap, shampoo, etc. That was what got me. Plus, I decided to start grouting at midnight. Didn't get done til the wee hours of the morning...
 
Can either of you build the center console? :) I need one too, If i cant find one, i will call the dealership and pay what ever it is, i dont even care lol. But cheaper is always better, i'm just a VERY impatient guy.
 
Not even gonna try. I thought about it the other day, but I'm thinking it would just turn into a hack job.

I am confident that it is possible to only purchase the top "half" of the console. All you really need is the top half of a 01/02 center console not the entire console.
Pektel..do you know if that price $324 was for either the top portion or both??..
 
it was just the "top half"... the part that is just held on by clips. if you remove the wood around the ashtray, and pull up, the part that comes off was the part they quoted me. I'm sure 5star or team ford can get them cheaper...
 
I tried that, they weren't as helpful with me. They just tell me to try back in a couple weeks...
 
I don't know what color you need, but they have this console right now.

i need gray, is that gray? And where the little compartment is, its like a bright tan. Is that the one?
 
nvm, i found it, btw, i didnt want that whole piece, is that how its supposed to be? I thought it was going to be a little section.
