Well i finally got it all done. The ASHAM8 was ordered this past monday...so as soon as it gets in its going on the car....i dont care how late it is,im puttin it on for the next day :D Just thought i'd let everyone know.

btw.....is anyone going to world of wheels thats around new orleans area? i live about 40 mins from the super dome. so im sure ill be there
 
(kinda lengthy,but please please read)

hello to all! I got my asham8 in yesterday about 6 and went straight to puttin it on, took bout 2-2 1/2 hours, its was pretty easy,besides messing with the wires way up north of the dash.

Heres something not too pleasant,I stayed up till 2 in the morning trying to get the car to sit right,no luck. The rear WILL NOT PICK UP! the front WILL NOT MOVE up or down.
The rear is laid out,looks cool,but wont fly with me. I hear the silenoids open and it does the faintest lil pssshh from the rear bags,then totally stops working.

I have studied the manual time and time again,and there are 2 pods i have no clue what they are for...they are the ones by the led's.

The other pods i know how to work them,but no matter what i do,the back will not pick up.

ANYBODY out there who has ANY TYPE of idea what might be wrong,could you PLEASE help me out. thanks so much!!!

btw,the back lifted up once,and never again has it done anything.
 
if anyone wants to go to the chat room and help me out,aske me questions of what ive done,or what i should do ill be there.
 
PUH-LEASE!!! someone look at this thread!!! im sittin here in my livin room,waitin for some kinda advice so i can go give it a shot.
 
Hey man I have the same setup in my mark, the one with the digital leds, did you try disconnecting the battery and putting it back to stock and then putting the led to about setting 5? then change the jumpers back and try it again, I know with mine if I go to high it gets stuck for some reason and I have to reset it so I leave it either on 5 or just go as low as I can
 
I've seen your car on youtube the other day, nice car, I have my video on there but I need to edit it and put the sound in it
 
man, i appreciate your help alot, i have a question,and a statement, my question is,what is a jumper? and my statement,my setup did not come with instructions,so i grabbed the laptop and went outside and hooked it up. i have tried disconnecting the battery several times,and reconnecting it,no luck. ok one more question,what are the two pod things next to the led setup???
 
Pod things? ohhh those are to level the front and back out, I have the manual and install for that thing on my computer, there should be 4 jumpers on it so you can put it back to Stock, 2 on each side, looks like the things on a hard drive, the POD on top is to adjust the display, it took me a good couple of weeks to mess around with that thing man, I also messed it up a couple times to because I was trying to do something with it and shorted it out and had to solder new wires on the board that melted hahaha, write back I'll be on here
 
do you have Aol instant messenger or something would prob be alot easyer to explain it

ok,now more problems, after messing with it for 3 nights cant seem to get it right,i noticed that the "c" board is supposed to come with 4 jumpers, mine came with 3. So i took my parkdrop/no drop jumper off and used it in its place,the rear lifted,and nothing else will happen. The right rear is so high i can make a fist and put in between the tire and fenderwell with my thumb up and pinky down. I cant get it right, i am having so much friggin trouble with this thing!!!!
 
i just emailed the guy and he told me which two wires are different. I knew two were different but didnt know which ones. So he told me,and my retarded self didnt remember that there were two different wires while i was installin it.
 
Hey man hows it going with that thing? do you want to rip it out yet and put it back to stock lol.. Let me know i remember something about the different color wires in the 97-98 that were different on the first gens
 
man you have no idea how seriously i thought of oing just that!! I emailed him and he told me which wires are differnt,and he sent a drawing of some kinda diagrams. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IM LOOKING AT!! so im going to study the pictures on the manual,see what wires are differnt that he told me,and do tha thang! ill let ya know how its comin.
 
Yeah i forgot all about them damn wires.. I put that thing in over a year ago, it should not be that bad, if i could I would go out to my car and get the colors of the wired for you but its parked in the garage and I can;t move it out to get the passenger side door open to look under the dash, I thought i had a paper here somewhere on it, goodluck man, let me know if you get that thing working..
 
GREAT! JUST GREAT!!!! The left front WILL NOT TAKE AIR! no matter what i do it wont take air. anyone want an asham8? $15 lol
 
I know it's a stupid thing but make sure you aren't looking at the directions upside down, I almost did that. It's a lot easier to do when some of the colors don't match.

Would be sweet if someone took both plug ends and wired them to the board so all you have to do is plug it in between instead of cutting wires in a 2ft environment.
 
subscribing because I have the module and hope to install it in a few weeks. I have the other one that I just didn't like the setup so I hope this one isn't a headache like the other one.

well heres th update for the day on my progress, I emailed the guy and told him my problems. He told me to move the jumpers so i did,and the car is airing up now....i know, im stupid, but hey,16 1/2 man hours later, i got it!! woo hoo!! well not totally got it,but i got it up and some what really level. Monday i will begin my journey on getin the switches to work the car up and down.

Till we talk again.

I have both, but I order the asham8 one a while ago but haven't installed it yet. I've got the other one (cant remember the name) but I'm not very happy with it. The rear is perfect but the front is just waaay to high and everything I've tried it always ends up the front is wrong. so I'm going to install the Asham8 and look to your thread for hints and tips for a smother install. Once I've got it down I'll sell the other one.
