I was cruising down the street & a caddy pulled up next to me. It was a SICK looking CTS V. It had wheels/tires & was lowered. I don't know if it was stock or not but OMG! When the light turned green that thing got up with the front tires smoking & left rubber in 2nd gear as well! I had no chance in hell. It pulled very hard & was fast!

Front tires smoking? CTS-V is RWD. (some of the lesser models are available with AWD though)

Throw a 125 shot on it and you might have a different story, but the V series cars are serious business.

Of course it is fast, it does a 13.2 in a quarter mile and if it is modded... fahgettaboudit! Easy in the 12's... no chance in hell will a Mark catch that car! The 08 CTS-V is going to be a beast!!!!

I'm pretty sure CTS-V (or any V's for that matter) doesn't have AWD or FWD. The base CTS' do I think. The second gen CTS-V isn't out yet and they are only considering giving that AWD.

I thought it was a cts V, What else do they have that is fast & a front driver? It had the CTS V badging on it. I'm confussed now?

some clown tried to race me In a cts-v (i was in my parents M3,)

We were neck and neck. then the dude tells me his car is an 11 sec car, and it has an ls1 in it (hahahahah)

the m3 is stock and is a low 13's car, typical caddy drivers

cts-v can run high12's to low 13's if it launches right. and they never came with ls1's. so he was either retarded or lying or did a swap on a perfectly good engine. they only came with ls6's or ls2's i beleive

typical caddy drivers
i'm not defending him because he just sounds dumb but thats the pot calling the kettle black

and to the op, it couldve been a base cts with the badges and wheels. other little things identify it as a V, but those are the most noticeable. which he could easily buy. the 3.6l base cts' run mid 6 0-60 i think.

There is a CTS-V here in Dallas Ft worth that scared the hell out of me.

I was in my buddies SRT-10 doing 140mph a CTS-V pulls up so we slowed to 100 and both punched it, we kept up until ~160ish I heard him shift and a whine and he walked on us like we were stopped.

Mind you before the flames start the truck has $50K in mods, and yes the roads were empty.

The moral of the story is Caddy one Lincoln 0........The CTS V's are seroius stuff and with six speeds and the jam they pac in them your hard pressed to do one up with a good driver in it.

the cts-v is an awesome car, but i bought my mark for 3 grand, which is probably less than the taxes would be on a cts-v; so im sticking with the mark for now...

those cts-v's are serious cars. not to mention the new caddy's are just plain sexy. i would love to own the 2008 cts-v, or even just a cts. im pretty sure they both return the favor!

the 2007 CTS-V has a 6.0L LS2 with 400 hp/395 lb/ft torque

here are some additional specs on the 07 CTS-V:
Curb Weight: 3,509 lbs
REAR WHEEL DRIVE
Standard Transmission: Tremec T-56 6-speed manual
EPA estimated 16 mpg city, 25 mpg highway

The CTS was RWD with an optional AWD as well as a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic
engines:
-3.6L V6 VVT: 263 hp at 6200 rpm and 253 lb-ft of torque at 3100 rpm

-3.6L Direct Injection V6: 304 hp at 6400 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque at 5200 rpm

the 2008 STS-V is another animal in itself and is "the most powerful production cadillac ever" with 469 hp from a 4.4L Supercharged Northstar

I don't really keep up on the caddys. Whatever it was, it was mean! I had no idea you could get one in a stick either. Sounds like GM did this one right!!!

The early versions had a LS6, the latest have a LS2. Guess what? They run low 13s stock all day.

Typical know it all in daddy's car.

Gee, I guess I didn't cover ALL of that in my previous post....
