Look what my wife bought me for Christmas!

Ripped straight from the Red Rider BB gun scene in "A Christmas Story", my wife surprised me on Christmas morning with the polished aluminum intake tube from LSK. After all the presents were opened, I went to the kitchen to get another cup of coffee when my 2 year old son walked in and escorted me to the "bonus" gift under the tree! It's been on my list for 3 years now. I had just given up hope. If I didn't get it this year I was going to give up. I just got it installed and cleaned up. I had some fitment issues, but I worked through them. The tube that connects to the throttle body did not fit due to a missing coupler. Ken is working on that for me. I'm also having hood closure issues. It seems okay now, but could close better; it's a little tight. Either way, I'm sooooo happy. Here are some pics of the engine with the new intake and all "gussied" up

Shweeet! I want one, too. That looks mucho sharp. Nice lookin' car, too. I think that with the polished intake, and some magnaflow mufflers, I could die perfectly content Simple pleasures, you know.

Nice CAI. You are going to need to put a silicone connector, similar to the one connecting the tube to the TB, between the back of the MAFS and the beginning of the metal tube to hold the MAF on properly. Ken@LSK had said that they will begin to be included with his CAI tube kits but I guess this one slipped through the cracks??? I would get that taken care of quickly before you have issues with your MAFS wanting to slide off the tube.

That connector was in there, but it seemed to make the MAF floppy. How did you do yours? I was confused on that. The instructions said nothing about putting on the 2nd one. It just said to use masking tape (as you can see if the pic). I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the heads up!

I suggest that you definitely put that connector with its two clamps on there. The directions probably haven't been revised to reflect the addition of the added silicone connector and clamps. Put the connector on there and put the hose clamps on it and tighten them down well. It should move very little once they are tight. If the MAFS does move a little then that is ok. It is better to have an ever so slightly wiggly MAFS then have it fall off or let unmetered air into the intake.
