Hey guys, second post.. started car. very load POP. white smoke from under hood. no fire. no dct's, rough idle. 02' ls 3.9, HELP

Sounds to me like it backfired. Or a cat was sleeping on the water pump pulley.

thanks guys, i got a misfire on #5 two separate times, about a week apart.
i smell a little oil after i 'step on it', plan to check it real soon.

the day of the load pop and smoke problem, i said what the f**k, i had never experienced that sort of thing before. it runs fine now.
