which set of springs will lower my LS the most?

Hey does anyone know which set of lowering springs actually lowers the LS the most? This guy with the hot red LS with chrome 1st gen wheels told me he has eibachs and even though they r supposed to lower the car an inch his car actually went 1.5 inches lower. Then the Sprint Springs say they lower the LS 1.5 (v6) and 1.75 (v8). So mine is a V6 Sport will those sprint springs for the v8 fit my car? Cause thats what I want 1.75 inches lower, actually Id like 2" but I dont think there is a kit that will go that far and Im not cutting springs!.
Then what about alignment? is there any problems with getting it aligned right after lowering it?
 
You could always bag it, that's my solution for getting it down that low. And then that way you could still get over bumps and driveways. With a 2" drop, I don't see you getting over much.
 
Sprint springs. All springs are interchangable whithin all LSs, V6 or V8, gen 1 or gen 2.

So if I get the sprint springs for the V8 that lowers it 1.75" it should be ok?
What about quality? Ive heard eibachs are really good quality springs!

Im sorry but, bag it? u mean like installing airbags?
 
I have eibachs, no problems, good ride quality too, but the drop is not too much, it's about right. If you want kind of low, go with sprints, they are cheaper too.

Does airbags give a better handling to the car? Im not a straight line racer but a track racer so improving handling is my goal besides a more agressive look!
Ive read somewhere that some ppl use jaguar's brakes which give better performance to the car, is that actually true?
 
Jaguar S-type R brakes are the ones, but those don't fit the LS. There is a thread about it from 02V8sport.

Airbags will do the opposite actually. They'll mess up your ride, very bouncy...and everywhere. If you want a lower look and performance see if someone makes coil overs for an LS.

Yeah! that'll be awesome! adjustable coilovers (spings n struts) but couldnt find any!
 
IMO if you wanna race around with your car don't air bag it just get the sprints.

But how ever, I have seen a video from a big time company, of course I cant think today thanks to this damn migraine but it had a Magnum tearing around on the track light it was nothing. They guaranteed performance like that out of the systems they sell.

But again IMO don't race around with bags on.

No coil overs for the LS, some people are trying ti figure out if the Jag coil overs will fit but even so I know of enough people with other cars that don't have any apps and they had someone fab up something for them to adapt a somewhat similar kit on.

But yet again, if its not in correct spec is most likely for looks so I wouldn't tear around with tis option on either. ( unless it is a more direct fit )
 
does anyone know if the handling between the eibachs, sprints, cannucks, etc.. are about the same? or are some better?
 
I have Eibachs on mine that were billed at a 1" drop. Turned out to be closer to 1.5". Everyone looks only at the clearance at the wheel well, but you should also look at the clearances at the front lower edge and oil pan. I must remember to be very careful on entering inclines or going over speed bumps. See my Gallery for more pictures.
