Hey everyone,

I'm just looking for some input of where I can purchase a chrome insert grill for my 2000 Lincoln LS (v8)

Its an dark grey. I believe its charcoal grey. Here are some pictures.

As you can see there is chrome on top, but black on the bottom.

As for the foggy left headlight, That is gone. its clear now :)

Getting ready for an oil change though... Dont know if to just stick with motorcraft, But im hesitant. want something a little more premium.

Opinions?

We offer several grille options for the Lincoln LS. You can view them here:

Also, your LS is more than likely Midnight Grey Metallic. The color code is on the VIN label. The VIN label is located inside the drivers door near the top of the dash. On the label the paint code is in the lower left corner marked as "EXT PNT". There should be a two digit code next to it. If your LS is Midnight Grey Metallic the color code will be TV.

As for oil goes, it is a personal preference. I always just used Pennzoil. Some folks swear by Synthetic oils but if you start using that you will need to keep with that and not switch back and forth. Synthetic will cost much more than just regular oil. So, adjust your budget as needed.

I got the chrome LSE grille with the painted surround from Ken painted my color shipped within a week.
If you don't like chrome then get the McClaren grille.
I got a stock 2nd gen grille for sale which is similar to yours but has the chrome going around the bottom too.
Those can be had for 40-60.00 from guys changing out to LSE's.

This used to be true back in the day, but not for at least the last 15 years. If you use a synthetic and a conventional oil that meet the same SAE specs, they're compatible (though I don't know of anyone who would suggest actually mixing syn and dino juice in an oil change).

In short, sticking with synthetic is recommended, but not required.

BTW, I only use Mobil1 5W-20 in my LS. Motorocraft 5W-30 dino juice will meet the requirements of a 1st Gen LS (5W-20 for 2nd Gen LSes), but the price difference between dino juice and Mobil1 isn't really that great, IMHO, and it's cheap insurance.

I know a bunch of guys who swear by Amsoil; it's usually ranked higher than Mobil1 (nothing much else is), but you can't walk into your local Wal-Mart and buy Amsoil...

Thansk!

I took a look at lskonsepts but never saw those grills till now. thank you!

As for the oil. I have heard of royal purple, But wont use that yet.

Im thinking of mobile1 or valvoline synthetic?
