Does anyone know the best way to siphon gas out of a 2000 LS? I tried a small plastic tube and it did not work. I am hoping there is a better way than climbing underneath to remove the gas tank. Does anyone know of a book or website that will show the layout of the tank etc.

E-85 flex fuel was put in by accident.

Thanks

you can access the tank from the top. Just take out the bottom rear seat cushion and there is a hatch. You can then remove the fuel pump, or maybe use it to pump the gas out.

Try cutting a 6' length of garden hose and shoving it down into the tank. Then, have a 20 gal. canister lower than the tank and start sucking on the hose. A clear hose would be easier since you could see the gas moving towarsds your mouth.

HAVE A GLASS OF MILK HANDY!!! Gas tastes horrible, and if you swallow any you'll throw up. I've seen it happen, when I was buying my car I had a full tank in my 91 Jimmy I was trading in, so I siphoned out 2.5 5gal cans, leaving just enough to get me to the dealership where Lucy was awaiting. Couldn't use that gas in her though, so I gave it to my parents to use as lawn mower gas.

I removed the seat and there was 2 plastic covers underneath. Once I removed those I saw that there were two plastic covers with fuel draws and censors. What is the best way to remove these and is this split tank?

I tried this but it would not get past the bends in the line.
