nothing but the facts.. lol here we go
its a 2002, yes i believe u are right, but the system hasn’t kicked in when i was driven thro a rocky road, or while it was raining, so it was a little scary at first, because I’m use to the system being activated on its own as it normally does and no I checked it wasn’t turned off, but at no time has the system kicked in, so I’m wondering what the hell is that from… its really pisses me off though , because they didn’t look over my car at all to insure everything is functional as it should be, but yet here is ford not even able to provide answers on their Lincoln help line while I was stuck in Bathurst,
Here’s the other half of the story so you have a better understanding get urself a coffee and make sure you don’t have the obama girl video playing on youtube, I’ll need ur full attention here lol
Alright, here we go.. I arrived in Bathurst on Tuesday afternoon few weeks back, the next day I took my car into a known garage to oversee the problems I experienced while driving to Bathurst, since my steering wheel had been shaking like crazy the whole trip and it seemed like it took forever to get there, had to keep the car at 90km so it didn’t shake as much for a 8 ½ trip.
So they looked at the front of the car, since ford in montreal said I would need a new tie-rod and also bearings for the front, so it turned out they were right, but I still question if it was from normal wear or from the accident, this garage I had visited told me it would be from normal wear so I agreed to get it fixed, anyways while the car was on the lift, the technician noticed my rear tires were worn to the belts, toe in or toe out whatever they call it. They couldn’t find any adjustments in the rear to give me an alignment so they mentioned to me to head to FORD in town and have it looked at, but I was a little iffy about bringing it to FORD, so I took it to COAST TIRE since they had the latest alignment machine apparently in town, so I took it to them, and explained my story to the rep inside MIKE, so he came out and looked and seen that my rear wheels were off and that something was really off, another guy TIM seen in video one, came out and confirmed it, yes there is definitely something wrong with the rear, so they took it in and put it up on the lift, and tim right away said this is the problem.. anyways I was told take it to ford anyways and see what they say, since there computers stated there can be no adjustments made on the rear alignment of the LS, to see dealer. So I did, but when I got to the FORD dealer there in town, they couldn’t find anything, only thing that said was that to dills holes and bring in the rear tires and replace the rear shocks, with a sticker of $1500 and to me it seem like these FORD guys were more interested in taking my money because here they gave me a rear wheel alignment at $65. but yet I remember the guy at coast tire telling me, you cant do any adjustments on the rear, so I went back to coast tire, and showed them the results from FORD and they all had a good laugh and told me get my
Money back from FORD, because ford even made it worse, now my steering wheel was going another way.. anyways now the guys at coast tire felt bad for sending me to FORD..
So I told the manager at coast tire, I felt his guy “TIM” knew what the hell he was talking about more then their certified FORD technicians did. So I went with Coast tire to fix my problems, called my insurance gave them the link to the first video I posted to show them
Just how bad the car was, and they gave me the ok within 1 hour to get things fixed.
So they ordered the part, and 1 weeks after once they got it , it turns out the part they got ended up with a slight same bend in it, same side so I had called FORD to ask them if that part was made like that, but they couldn’t provide me any answers and told me time and time again to go to FORD and see their tech guys.. lol anyways I got off the phone and with FORD and went back to coast tire, and they ended up drilling holes in the lower arms I think, again im not a tech guy so don’t quote me on it, and they brought the wheels in, I had no choice since I couldn’t wait another week for another part, since I was already stuck in Bathurst for 2 weeks now because of this problem.
So now the car seems to handle how it did before, smooth ad rides like a dream, a dream like hallie berry

And TIM also took care of that squeaky noise by using Teflon lubs in around some joints. In the mean time, im trying to be calm and relaxed before I head into
The offices at FORD..
Oh and btw, you know what FORD told me on the phone, from the Lincoln customer care center?? I told them I didn’t give the garage the check for the repairs yet, because of these issues with my car, but I will once everythin is done right, he tells me to go ahead and give FORD the check since like everyone else, people have to eat. Lol I was like oh hell no, not with this money.. cuz once you hand over that insurance check, your screwed if your trying to fight the system. And the other agent b4 that told me only FORD Tech know my car, dont go to COAST TIRE, but i was like oh hell no, im sorry but those guys dont know what they talking about.. they even charged me an alingment COME ON and it didnt fix the problem it made it worse LADY lol
Anyways I really enjoy my LS, it’s a shame this happened, why perhaps they trying to save money here and there, but that :q:q:q:q aint right, could have taken the life of my family.
And so the fight is on…
DO I SUE OR DO I NOT SUE... ummmmm
What year is your LS?
The traction control in mine works just fine and the light in the dash has never illuminated when I have the system disabled. The only light that comes on is the light in the switch, I get one short beep from somewhere within the confines of the dash, and a 5 second a warning on the message center screen telling me that the traction control is turned off.
The light in the dash DOES come on when the key is turned on, or the engine is started, for about 3 or 4 seconds while the TCS does a self check.
I leave the traction control disabled whenever I drive my car, except in the rain. I have a lead foot, and the open diff is too unpredictable to drive the way I do in the rain without the TC on.
Now, I'm not saying that it works or that it doesn't work in your car. Obviously I've never driven your car, and I don't know if the TCS engages or not on slick surfaces when the car is pushed too far. Just that the way it is described in the video, appears, to me, to be operating normally.
I do wonder what kind of special idiot did the repairs to your car and did not notice the bent rear sub-frame. I could tell that it was bent the second the camera went under the car.
What you should do, is get in touch with the Ford service representative for your region, as well as the Dealer Principal of that dealership. (basically the guy who owns it) You may have to pull a few short and curlys of the people at the dealership to get this contact information, but you should do what it takes to make sure that that dealership service center is held liable for this oversight. Somebody needs to be fired if you ask me.
