Best Option?

I have bad pass side CAT.

I was told that...

1. A DIRECT BOLT ON would cost more but the labor would be less.

2. A UNIVERSAL CAT would be cheaper, but the labor involved in welding and removing the exhaust would be high.

Which scenario is true and or the best option??

If you arent looking into any extensive exhaust work I say just go with #1 other wise just get the magnaflow system, that isnt that expensive and it fits good. Some places will toss in the labor. The place I just got mine done at did.

No one is talkin about a whole exhaust.

Im askin if its cheaper to get a bolt on or a universal after the labor is included.

Because a bolt on is like $160 a universal is like $60

Was just helping...dont be so naive you still got the answer you were looking for. Go get number 3.

Besides why would having one OEM and one universal even be contemplated. Its not hard labor to do it yourself. Or is that more expensive:shifty:

Naive?? lol whats that got to do with askin a question?

A direct bolt on is alot easier to put in,, but a universal will have to be welded in.

Sooo there is a big difference,,

But thanks for being no help at all,,lol

It has nothing to do with your question..lol

It has to do with your rebuttle to my answer..lol

As far as being no help at all, I still say go with #1 cause I knoooooww there is a big difference so, this would be the second time I gave a answer to your question. Now do you really have a problem or have you not had someone give you enough attention tonight?

Think about what you said, really,.. really hard. You probably had the answer the whole time even before you posted.

Soooo,,,,,,lol..@U

Yes obviously if your JUST lookin at labor than the Universal is the more expensive choice.

But my question is for everythin included, since a uni cat is much cheaper to buy than a direct fit.

Sooo after all is said and done, labor and parts added up, which is the cheaper choice.

So no putse, ur replies were no help at all, except that u answered half question with obvious info.

But hey thanks..lol

Get the bolt on, do it yourself and it will be cheaper. You dont understand, it can even out you might pay 100 bucks for labor and 60 for the cat or you might pay 160 for the cat and do it on your own. I would pay 160 if you can get it at that price and put it on yourself before I mix and match a universal and a OEM.

NUMBER 1!
