The only ones that fit are special order from Super Coupes that are fabricated by Koops.
 
What kind of gains are seen with Kooks or the FMS shorties?
Is any modification needed to fit either of them?
 
From what I hear they are only good for cars that are making big power, but they do make a nice mean sound. They are a direct bolt on for our cars(MarkVIII) as they are made to go around the steering column. I think that they make around 10hp - 15hp on mildly modded cars, or you can just get the stock stuff. But Im going to get them any way they still flow better than the old stuff anyways.
I dont know about the brothersperformance stuff, ask frogman or do a search as he would say.
 
i think that there really should be an alternative to the kooks. i mean, why pay almost $700 on a pair of headers? it is effin retarded. all rustang guys they pay $300-400 on theirs. i know that kooks are custom made, but still.... the price is way way too much. for what? 10hp? i rather spend less to achieve that gain.
 
I wish I could at least see some numbers from the Kooks, but my searches turn up inconclusive.

Come on now, how in the world can you compare us to the crustang guys??? There is like a bazillion of those cars on the road, and are extremely popular for upgrades. Where our cars are not....in the least bit....except to us. So, since there is really no market for our cars, and only one company makes a set of direct replacement headers, they can ask what ever we (as a group) would pay. At least they are not the $900 ones that I had before and were custom built one set at a time, and at least they are coated for $700, whereas the $900 ones that I purchased were raw metal.

Ray, I did not mention the comparison from our cars to the rustang (crustang, rust-stain, whatever). I totally agree w/ you about any company can mark-up the price for those headers, because they are custom, that is why they cost and arm and a leg!! It just sucks we mark owners gotta dish out $700 for a pair of headers that at the most will give us a 10 POSSIBLY 20 hp!? Just use this as an example, lets just say someone is advertising that custom made under drive pullies will give you 20-25 HP and the cost is around $550! Would you purchase them, if money for you is not an issue? While you know for A LOT cheaper that some other aftermarket company is selling ones that are a direct bolt on. I am sorry that you had to spend a $hit load for those headers you got. But think about it.... not many people are willing to blow $700 on headers. I know that I wont, eff that!
 
Not to mention it's hard to dish out money when there is no evidence to even show a substantial gain vs the other possibilities.
