The sensor that tells whether or not the trunk is closed seems to be about 1/16 -1/8 of an inch too short and the door ajar light remains on unless I push down on the trunk lid. Any ideas on how to fix? I've got a couple: 1) Use a piece of mech pencil to make an extension for it; 2) Use a flat piece of plastic on the bottom trim to raise it. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I believe there are stops that look like large black hex nuts that keep the trunk lid at a certain height when it is closed. I believe they are height adjustable by rotating them, so it may be possible to lower the trunk lid so that it activates that switch.

Thanks Todd, do you know where the hex nuts are located?

See photo. They're on the left and right sides of the trunk lid. They are pretty conspicuous -- you can't miss them! Just twist them and they should adjust.
