Front mount CAI.Pluss a question.

Its to bad someone doesnt design, and build a nice looking heat extractoh hood for the LS...Maybe someone has(?)
I know that the natural convection process, plus the syphon effect of motion, pulls a ton of hot air off the top of the engine compartment.
Any thots on that?
Its prolly taboo to talk about altering the hood of a luxury car like this, but the Mark guys do it all the time.

Another option that has been tried by other members including myself is to pipe the air up to the filter. I found this rain gutter extension at Home Depot/Lowes for about $10 in three colors, green, white, and brown. It bends and holds its shape.

I used the round end in the grille by the fog lamp.

Ran the rectangle end up to the filter through the frame opening, ridge enough to support its self.

I have cleaned up the end since the photos.

Just another way of bringing cooler air to the intake.

what i think i'm going to do is try that in conjunction with a heat absorbent foil all over my head shield. plus make sure no air can get in from the engine bay so maybe it will run a little better.

i dont want to have the filter right down there cause that may be a pain in the ass to run. then just incase put a drycharger wrap around the filter incase any water gets in.

i did my setup. i still have some tweaking to do to make it look a lot nicer. i'll take some pics when it's all done.
