jus wanna thank everyone for their feedback on my original sway bar problem now i have a new issue ...while driving home the other day the car started to make a weird wobble noise from the back driverside wheel but when i had my cousin follow me in his car he saw no wobble but the car feels as if it is and when i step on the gas the feeling goes away but when i let it roll on its own the feeling comes back it seems to giv the wobble effect more when i veer left towards the drivers side !!! any speculations?????

Probably, I never had that problem. I think maximum you are gonna need a bearing removal tool, you can probably rent it at pepboys or so.

Ford only sells the complete hub, which is like $400+

You can find the bearing at AutoZone or another chain for like $30-60 and then find a machine shop with a press to get the old bearing out and press a new one in.

The hub replacement is a DIY, the bearing replacement is not unless you have a 20 Ton press in your garage.

alright ill figure something out thanks...do you think i should stop driving the car until i fix it ?

I have heard you can drive on it, but you must drive very cautiously. But then again, when my buddy took in his Jag for a wheel bearing, the family mechanic wouldn't let him take it home.

I had a wheel bearing go out on my '92 T-Bird back in the day. I had no idea what was wrong. It began with a wobble. After a while it started to "clunk" when I turned corners. I asked a couple mechanic friends who pretty much chalked it up to loose lug nuts. Turns out the only loose lug nuts were between their ears... Anyway, I had a bad rear wheel bearing and I let it go too long. By the time I finally brought it into the shop, I had damaged pretty much everything to do with the hub and brakes on that wheel and was real close to having the wheel completly fall off while going down the road.

So don't wait to get it checked out. So could be really sorry! It ended up costing me nearly $1000 for all of the new stuff. Being a college student at the time, that's one bill I didn't need....

yea id like to avoid that type of situation. im a college student now and i dont want to go thru 1000 bill i jus paid ford for a tranny and now this still gotta love the LS tho. only car i kno still looks good when it ha problems lol

Not unless you want your wheels to fall off...

If you can spare the money buy the whole hub, IIRC it comes with the ball joints as well, which would help prevent future issues.

I'd say drive it one more time but go straight to your favorite local mechanic. It might be something other than the wheel bearing, but then again, it might not. either way, it's not worth the risk. There's obviously something going going on that needs attention. these types of things generally get worse before they get better. So call the old man with a sob story about tuition/book/rent prices and see if he can help you out. :D
