I have developed a BAD oil leak from the oil filter housing on my 95 Mark VIII. (Leaking from inbetween the oil filter housing and the engine block) It nearly Pours! Due to where it it positioned, and how, I am really wondering just how big of a project it'll be to fix this leak. I assume I will need a new gasket. Looks to me that the power steering pump assy will have to be removed in order to even begin to get to the housing. Any help or suggestions? I can post pics if you'd like...

Thanks!

first off chill! :p

its a common problem.......did you try using the search function? :shifty: (that was for you frogman)

Its the gasket that goes bad. Ford changed them over the years and made them better (I forgot what they did but it was small and you wouldn't think that it would cause such a problem). I think there is two bolts that hold it the filter adapter on. I don't recall taking anything else off but I remember one bolt being a bitch to get to. I'll do some searching and see if I can find anything for you.

Yeah, it looks like a real b!tch to get to... I'm chill, lol. Just frustrated. I tried using the search function, no dice...

I just don't want this to turn into a bigger project than it already is, lol.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

It's easy to replace. 4 bolts hold it on if I remember right. you will need a lond extension and a swivel.
