WOW! and I want to trade mine for this????

all he does is whine....your car broke down...they do that from time to time whether they are $5000 or $500,000

glanga, I noticed you have a CTS-V in your sig. Is this guy full of SH!T?? I want to trade my LS soon for another car since its already 3 years old. Im looking for new candidates.

The only problem I've ever had was that the traction control would randomly go on causing one wheel to lock for a split second which was unnerving. It was caused from a bad power program from the previous owner. Dealer reflashed the computer...problem solved. I love the car....I think its the best american car ever made...my only complaint is the center console is a little unsightly and the nav could be easier to use like if they put the escalades or srx's nav console in it. And the sleeper factor, unless you know what a V is, then it's an ordinary looking cts with dual exhaust, flashy grille, and big wheels. I absolutely love it. The LS6 is a great engine.

this guy in the video also claims the V feels like it really only has 200HP. Never driven one so I dont know. Is it balls out fast?

i think he meant at the time that was happening. Yeah if you get on it, you know it and the 6 speed is great too. i think its a tremec t-56. go and test drive one i guarantee you wont be disappointed. its the same engine the had in the C5 Z06 corvettes i beleive. just in a luxury sedan.

I am 30 year old and I have been driving stick shift since I was 14, My biggest disappointment was driving a LS since its automatic with the V8's. I want to get back into a high HP car with a stick again. The CTS-V seems to be the most practical choice now with my kids since I need a back seat and 4 doors.

the STS-V will work as well but its still the same powertrain.

Correction:
The STS-V is powered by the hand assembled LC3 4.4L DOHC Northstar V8 with an Eaton blower and water-to-air intercooler integrated into the manifold. It is also only equiped with the 6L80E 6spd automatic transmission. The engine is hand assembled alongside the LS7 for current C6 Z06 Corvettes and the other LC3's destined for XLR-V roadsters which also use the 6L80E transmission but its in transaxle form like the newest Corvettes are or soon will be.

cadillacs are notorious for breaking down. not to rag on the cars bc i like most of them, especially the cts-v, but for the most part... when you buy a cadillac, you buy problems.

Almost want to tell the guy I told ya so, but than again his is one of them "rare" cases. There is bound to be a few bad apples in the bunch. I like the cars myself but after reading reviews on them and just the price some stuff is not what I would to spend like tires and all that stuff. But if you can afford one new, than I guess you do not worry about paying a huge sum for tires that I heard wear fast if you use the car in any fun ways.

yeah but that engine wasnt built specfically by cadillac. it was built by GM mainly chevy engineers. the sts-v is super8 automatic. its definently a bit nicer than a cts-v but its not really faster since its heavier. more$$ too. the xlr-v is a plain pos. $100,000 zo6. the cts-v is a good old american pushrod with a pretty serious tranny. i have to use a little elbow grease to get it into reverse sometimes. standard xenon projectors, nav, all the goodies. just make sure you get a sunroof...thats the only option i beleive and its worth it.

The CTS-V has a reputation for eating differentials and having electrical problems. I don't particularly like them, so I've never bothered to see if the reputation is earned or not (can't say that I particularly care, either).

I think his behaviour is amazing. I'd be "snakey" if I were him. He's very reasonable - asking, only, for a replacement.

hell ya^ if i buy a $40,000 car and it has the issues hes having, im getting a new car or im going to the higher ups. things start to happen as you move up the ladder.

an example, my moms boss regretfully bought a caddy srx, their crossover suv. the car was in the shop 2 out every 4 weeks. he became extremely dissatisfied and wanted a replacement. the people at the dealership were very uncooperative with his request. he begins to go up the ladder and threatens to take out a billboard ad directly above the dealership stating his problems and directing people elsewhere (he has a pretty crazy budget, (ceo of company)). they caved. brand new srx was waiting for him when he got to the dealership. sometimes the only way to get things done is to go up...

thats weird. weve had 2 escalades, an srx, the v, and an sts and never had any serious issues...the sts has 140,000 miles and runs amazing. the only other complaint i had about the v is no steering wheel controls for audio.

they are much better than ford/lincoln anyday. its only my opinion but the cts beats the new mkz or whatever its called. the srx beats the mkx, the escalade is much more bang for you buck than the new navi, the sts and the towncar both have their followings but i beleive the sts takes the cake.

i can not wait to try out the 500hp v. the only other car id consider is the m6 but thats a bit expensive and if mercedes wasnt plagued worse than ford the e63 looks nice too

im not going to lie, i would take any of the newer model caddy's any day over my ls. i got a great deal on mine and now its my baby and will be for quite a while. all im saying is that it doesnt seem uncommon for them to be shop whores...
