noob intake question

I was just wondering if there was a difference between this inake on ebay:

and the one from LSKoncepts? Obviously one comes with a K&N and the other with an S&B, but other than that. Also, does anyone have an opinion on which filter is better? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

+1. i got the kkm filter and i like that one but i'm sure it's the same as the k&n.

The filters are different but the tubes are the same exact tube all the way around, made by the same person and all.

I have seen others post about this and I think for some reason its a sham, I think there is something up with it one way or another. If it saves you money then buy it but its the same exact thing.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it looked the same from the pictures. I just cant see spending an extra $70 for the S&B filter versus the K&N.

The intake tube is the same tube that we sell. However, the K&N kit they sell with that is an inferior product to the KKM True-Rev Sport Induction Kit. There is a reason why we don't sell the K&N kit with the tubes.

First, the S&B filter has an open filter on the top of the filter. The K&N filter does not. The open top allows more air flow through the filter. The MAF adapter that ASMI sells is nothing more than a plate with a tube welded onto it. The MAF's that KKM uses are all machined to the exact specification of the original opening to the air box. KKM is a SEMA member which they get all of the orignal CAD drawings from Ford to build their intake kits. I'd rather have a product that had some thought behind it if it were going on my car.

Also, ASMI took one of our stainless steel intake tubes and copied it to the one they sell now. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery huh?

You didn't read my comment as close the first time. I said "K&N kit" was inferior. I never said that the K&N filter was an inferior product. It is only kit the they sell with the intake tube. The kit consists of filter and MAF adapter. If you compare what KKM sells and the kit ASMI sells there is no comparison.

Does ASMI realy exist, I looked all night for that company online and couldnt find it. Compared to the K&N the KKM is better but there is better yet than the KKM also.

critter - Just buy it from lskoncepts. People here know you're getting a quality product. For my old '02 - Cold Air Stainless Steel Intake & the KKM True-Rev from LSK. It just made sense.
