So i just got pulled over by a Super Trooper and i live in Missouri so i knew it was for my tint.......I was pulling out of a shopping center(just went to pick up some stogies for this weekend) and i see the cop but since were on a side street he had no jurisdiction. He's about 10 cars up ahead about to pullonto the highway and i figured he didnt see me, well as soon as i get ontot the highway i see him pulling off to the side and just waited for me to pass and he flicked on his lights and started blaring his sierens. Me, just getting my car washed and wanting people to drive by and throw road dust on my car while its on the side of the road, opt to pull into a parking lot and the first thing the guy says is...What the F*** were you doing, how come you didnt pull over when i flipped on my lights? I said i didnt feel comfortable doing that and i know i have a right to pull over where i am. So he's still tryin to play hardball with me when all of a sudden he's like, "Damn you have a nice car" asking me all these questions and im sitting there thinking..what:confused: and so he goes back to his car, writes the ticket comes back and says, "what model is this?" "Is it yours?" and i so badly wanted to say no its stolen you idiot. But anyway just a funny lil story i thoguht id share

lmao that is really funny. one time my dads friends got pulled by a former classmate in highschool and played with him hard. when pulled over the po asked for drivers license and registration, he told him he didn't have that stuf and just drove off left the cop standing there. cop calls a state trooper and pulls him this time and asks for the DL and Registration and the guy just hands it to him. and the driver gets let off with no infractions
 
I wonder if you would have just pulled over right away if you still would have gotten that ticket. Hmmm. Regardless the situation its never wise to irritate them, especially right from the start, which you may not have intended but i'm sure it didnt help. Maybe late at night on a highway its acceptable to wait a while before stopping, but the excuse of "Dont want my car to get dirty" doesnt seem to cut it. I'm pretty sure the cost of the ticket could have paid for alot of carwash's. Whatever, you live and you learn.

P.S. I'm not sure about the comment regarding a side street and no jurisdiction, what did you mean by that?
 
Perhaps "super trooper" in missouri is like "freeway patrol" here in ohio. In Ohio they are allowed to do just that...patrol freeways.

Actually, he does have jurisdiction. He has State Wide jurisdiction being a State trooper and all. There are even states called "state wide jurisdiction state" where local city/county cops have state wide jurisdiction too.

As for telling him you stole it, I did that to a local cop once. Long story, car was parked in my driveway, he knocks on the door, I open the door, his first words "Sir, do you own the black car in the driveway?" "No", I said, "I just stole it. OF COURSE I own the black car in the driveway!" The look on the cop's face was almost as priceless as the look after my next answer to "Sir, do you have any guns?". "I have lots of them... What do you need?".
 
Frogman.. That's freakin priceless and hilarious.. I'm gonna try that next time about the guns and stolen car
 
fwiw i recently got pulled on US-1 6 lane highway. cop pulls behind me flips lights on, well theres one problem with pulling over for a half mile or so because of a median and being in the left lane..anyways when the dog leg/turn left only lane begins i just slow down prior and pull in there thinking this is prolly not a good idea but i don't want him to think i'm trying to allude his authority..i stop in the dog leg and he waves me to pull up so i just took the left at the light and pulled over on the side street. still got a ticket
 
Now adays you do have the right, most places, to pull off to where you feel safe. You can argue that the side of a highway isn't safe in your opinion. The key is that you have to make sure he knows you see him and are working to comply. Usually if you turn on your emergency flashers and make for the nearest exit you should be OK.

Most officers should be OK with this since now a days we have too many wanna be a cops pulling people over, that the advice given now is to stop where you feel safe.

If an officer is having a bad day or is just the town grump then you probably were going to get the ticket anyway.

A big plus in not getting tickets is to have a vehicle and drive so you do NOT stand out. Tinted windows make you stand out and are also a potential hazard for officers and is usually illegal past a certain tint in many locales.

Yep... Those people are dead. Where the heck did that car go? Looks like a Galant... Poor, poor car.
 
just make the cop feel safe and its a good chance you'll get off unless you do something that is completely stupid
 
well my reason wasnt because i didnt wnat to get my car dirty, that was just an extra in my decision making but he knew i saw him and Super troopers are highway patrol in missouri which i know only have jurisdiction on highways to pull anyone over for that sort or reason, but they're all dicks around here, it was just funny that he tried being nice after a while and midas has got a good reason not to pullover just anywhere, lol

I had to watch that video atleast a dozen times. Amazing. The best is the cops reaction.

As far as Orlando goes....its the worst. I would love to install a video camera in my car to record the crap that i see on a daily basis.
 
Last time I got pulled over for speeding, the cop asked me, "who's car is this?"(uh, mine), "Do you have a license?" (uh, no sh!t). So I hand him the registration (which cops in WI never ask for) and license and the d!ckhead writes me the tix and as he comes back, he runs his hand from the trunk all the way to the drivers door. Just to piss me off!
Then, when I went to court, clerk at the desk asked me if "I needed a translator"(i just nod no, stupid c*nt).

My point is, why is it that some pd's are just full of dumb f*cks. Like intimidation is really going to work.

I couldnt belive that cops reaction! That car "seemed" to be far enough off to the side of the road, that rig crossed to the shoulder.

You have to look at law enforcement like any other job or profession. Do you expect better service at McDonalds or a nice restaurant. Some PD's are just the McDonalds of the law enforcment community. The pay sucks, so you'll most likely get a new rookie just looking for a job and experience somewhere. So in that scenerio you got a guy that isnt quite good enough to make a bigger department but is still gung-ho enough to be a cop that he takes a job at McDonalds PD. The quality of the cop you experience is a direct reflection of that departments standards and leadership. Some suck, some suck even worse, and some arent that bad.

P.S. No offense to any McDonalds employees.
