I live in TN where last winter was pretty cold (especially when you just get use to FL winters). It got down to like 10 deg a few times. But summers here are hot, I am told. Well on my gen 1 I am lookin for a tranny cooler. I want something I can install and later on not worry bout it being to small.
I was looking at the tru cool 40,000 unit with thermal bypass (for cold winters). Does anyone have pics of this installed? Where would it be mounted? I know it is big, I do not want to block to much of the radiator.
Should I just bypass the radiator heat exchanger?
How does the factory F-250 Diesel cooler compare to the tru cool?

I installed this one on my 95. It was pretty easy. Just so you know... The bottom line is the pressure line, the top is the return. I got this cooler off of a ford explorer. I plumbed it through the radiator like factory and then through the cooler. It fits perfect and looks almost factory. I was also able to use the mounting holes that were on the cooler. That way there is no need for the plastic things that go through the a/c condensor. You can't see in the pic, but it mounts above perfectly. Not sure of the rating of it, but i'm sure it's better than nothing at all.

We do the Powerstroke Cooler on 4R70W equipped vehicles.

A bit overkill for the daily "stock" vehicle?
Yes, but HIGHLY reccomended for any type of stall converter equipped 4R70W vehicles.

In all actuality a Hayden 24k GVW cooler is just fine, very cheap and easy to install.

ive got a 6.0 torqueshift on mine. fkn massive.

that powerstroke cooler up there must be from the 7.3
