Greetings everyone, this is my first post on LVC. I recently inherited a 1993 Mark VIII. Cosmetically the car is in very good shape however the underside is not. I have had it to a few shops to look at the cost to fix rusted out brake lines and fuel lines and the cost is more than I’m willing to spend. The car sat for about thirteen years in a garage when I got it. Unfortunately the air suspension was collapsed when I picked it up so I couldn’t inspect the undercarriage very well. The shop suggested I simply scrap the car but there are a ton of nice parts on it. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. The car runs and drives and the air suspension is working again. I would be willing to sell the entire car for any reasonable offer. I just hate to see a car like this get crushed. Please reach out to me with questions, thanks.

The main problem is you can't DIY any of this? If not then scrap the car. It will be a money pit.

I wish I could do the work but not having a lift is a major problem. I’m also not the greatest mechanic. I was hoping someone out there needed a nice parts car. The body panels are in great shape, the interior is nice, the glass is perfect, the wheels are almost perfect and the list goes on. Plus it has a good engine and trans. Eventually I’ll probably have to scrap it but I really wanted to see at least some of these parts go to good use. This car is a great example of a car that was cared for but should have been oil sprayed or undercoated. My dad bought a Grand Marquis new in ‘99 and had a guy cosmoline it. It is in amazing condition to this day and he lives in NE Ohio.

This car looks too great to part out. I don’t understand why it would cost so much to replace fuel lines and then brake lines a couple thousand dollars and you would have a great car if I wasn’t 85 years old, I would come and get it OK I have a 1997 mark 178,000 miles on it. Good great car. Not too long ago on a closed course I hit 130 mph was still going strong but running out of road. Crazy old man‍♂️
