Biden administration agrees to provide $6.4 billion to Samsung for making computer chips in Texas
The Biden administration has reached an agreement to provide up to $6.4 billion in direct funding for Samsung Electronics to develop a computer chip manufacturing and research cluster in Texas.
The funding announced Monday by the Commerce Department is part of a total investment in the cluster that, with private money, is expected to exceed $40 billion. The government support comes from the CHIPS and Science Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law in 2022 with the goal of reviving the production of advanced computer chips domestically.
“The proposed project will propel Texas into a state of the art semiconductor ecosystem,” Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on a call with reporters. “It puts us on track to hit our goal of producing 20% of the world’s leading edge chips in the United States by the end of the decade.” -snip

I can tell you for a fact that a Jeep facility only had one or 2 computers to get the vehicles off the assembly line when finished.
They would then drive to the back lot... pull the computer... plug it into the next vehicle, and do the same.
There were thousands of jeeps just sitting in the lots... because of no chips for the computers
Tell you what... stick with what you know... and it's definitely not chips.

There are sure a lot Biden's educated voters showing their true colors today all over the country, even close to the Dude's neck of the woods. Educated-maybe, Indoctrinated-for sure. Instead of out working to pay back their college loans, they are blocking bridges and roadways. Joe will pay the loans. Maybe their Art History, or Gender Studies, etc degrees will land them a good paying job for some activist organization.

I can tell you for a FACT years ago... that the Jeep assembly line only had 2 PCM's on the floor. When the vehicles rolled off the line, a guy would plug in the main PCM and drive the vehicle to the back lot, and park it. Same for the next... and the next... and the next
So at that point (with the chip shortage) ... that meant only tens of Jeeps were rolling off the line per hour... Instead of hundreds per hour.
China was eating our lunch because they had the chips and we didn't. Talk about dropping the ball. Who was "asleep at the helm"....
Do a Google search for Bronco Mountain. You will see acres of Broncos sitting due to the chip shortage.
