New owner of a 2004 Lincoln LS V8 here in hot and humid Alabama. Been a rough summer, '06 Harley Springer sheared a valve keeper at 75 mph on the Interstate - lots of serious noise. She is sitting in the garage bleeding oil on the floor, can't afford to repair at this time. My Dodge Ram transmission puked in June, sold it for what I owed. Wife's 1999 BMW Z3 was up on jack stands while I put new brakes on it so I needed a car to get to work. Friend had an "extra" car in the back yard; he had handed it down to his kid but he bought a new ride. Sold me the Lincoln for a very good price, mostly to get it out of the yard. Car seems to be in very good shape; I'll be posting looking for help with some of the nitpicky problems. But hey! Replaced the front brake pads in like 45 minutes. Hope everything else is this easy!
