Has anyone here replaced a drivers door actuator? I have an '02 LS and the dealer wants 270 plus dollars for just the part! I'm hoping I can find one at the used parts yard and do it myself. Any help and insight is greatly appreciated.

So I'll just suck it up and pay the dealer to fix it. I read some of the links about other people trying to fix it and i wont start something I cant finish. Thanks joegr

Try lubricating the daylights out of it first; so long as you can hear it trying to work. That has worked for me a couple of times. Use a dry type spray....

did it work? i hit mine with ample white lithium grease and always make sure to 'deliberately' close each door. im probably due for a re-grease

I have replaced the right rear actuator a couple times. It is a wear item, but I can pick them up for $6.00 at the U-Pull yard. 30-40 minutes to replace. Risk vs. cost benefit works out well on these. Not difficult to replace, the spaces are just a little tight, especially in the rear doors.
