Ok..starting to hear a very distinct scraping noise in my rear while driving at low speeds..increasing throttle increases the sound but not a lot. Have had bearings replaced on rear already. Both rear links are worn..can separate the rubber bushings with your fingertips..not sure if this is the source of the noise..but is probably a cheaper option. I am next concerned if maybe the rear cv axles are worn on the inside..I cannot see separation of any kind of the cv rubber boots..thought maybe it was the pads wearing thin.but sound does not change with pressing or release of brake pedal..don't mind spending the money but don't want to do it on one part and still have the same symptoms after repair. The scrape noise is more prevalent on the driver rear side wheel.if someone needs pics to advise more clearer..just let me know what area to flash a pic of..quite ready to drop cash on a rear sway link (about $100 part and install) or the rear left cv axle..but I would rather do them in pairs if this is the culprit. Please advise.

...quickie..I thought the links moved in a up down position when driving..? So would they make the "rotational noise" that I am hearing..the noise sounds like it is turning with the wheels..I have had the horrendous wheel bearing noise in the right..it is more of a "whirring" noise..which is making me think the cv shafts..from a standstill if I pull off or reverse..I do get the loud pop noise..like a knee is going back in joint..I been searching the forum so I wouldn't have to post a long winded plea for help..but haven't gotten a resolution. Damn I hate suspension noises.

When you say u-joint..are you speaking of the driveshaft..? Or the carrier bearing on the driveshaft..?

I would suspect the carrier bearing over the U-joint. Then again, were it the carrier bearing (or the U-joint) you would get vibration.

...the vibration is there..which is what makes me think it is what you suggest.. I would much rather it be this than the differential issues like I have read here on the forum. I have the new d/shaft and carrier bearing..at worst Im looking at about 3 hours of labor (about $300).

may want to check the rotor shield just to make sure it was not bent and rubbing (just thinking of simple things to look at)

So funny I had a weird noise coming from the front driver side was driving me crazy trying to figure it out end up being the backing plate has 3 rivets that hold it in place two of them broke so it would rub and flapping back and forth onto the rotor
