keep alive power problem

This is for my 01 ls v8. I got code 1633. The car runs and drives just not optimal. The power seats don't work and even after using the key to unlock the doors the alarm will go off. The fuse #7 was replaced and the car ran like a dream until the car was shut off then the fuse blew again. It has a 5amp fuse like its supposed to. The battery has been replaced. The alternator puts out a steady 13.9 volts. All the chassis grounds are freshly cleaned and sanded. The car will shut off at random times but start right back up. The mirrors won't move either. Is there any particular connection problems that are common with these symptoms?

You have a short somewhere (maybe in an electronic module). You'll have to find it and eliminate it.
Also, 13.9 is a tad on the low side.
 
F2.07 goes to:
Side mirrors switch
Driver's door module
parking brake switch
Driver's seat switch
Driver's seat module
PCM
Sun load sensor
 
This is for my 01 ls v8...

You can not put the 00-02 LS in 1st with the SST mode unless you get a tune.

He has an 05. It normally will start in 1st.


OP states it's an 01 which you "can" get into gear 1 while in SST "but" only under load.
(sig "does" say 05) ???


True that the 1st GEN's will only go down to 2nd on select
... but if you are in 2nd and you preload from a stop or roll-on you can easily get it into 1st and keep it there.

I have a vid of my 01 V8 doing just this ... same vid where I transbrake popping into 2nd with high RPM coming from 3rd. (no tune)

You can get in 1st....but I really can't think of a daily driving situation that requires it.

And yeah I know an 05 can but is this an 01? So guessing that the OP doesn't know this "trick" it won't go into 1st.

This has been discussed before. The 1st Gen will access 1st gear in SST after 60%+ throttle input. 1st gear is then available until coming to a complete stop. Then you need to again give 60%+ throttle.

I believe it's in the OM.
