Read a few threads but my issue is weird. Yesterday on the way to the parts store to pick some sand paper for my headlights my check air ride message comes on. Right after that I can feel the rear end had more bounce to the ounce. To make a long story short, by the time I got home the front is now on the bumpstops too. The compressor comes on but the car will not raise up and at the end of its cycle its making a thumping noise really similar a blend door failure.
I know the compressor failed but from what Ive read and from what Ive seen usually the front or the rear will sag. My whole car is sagging.

I bought another compressor last night and i will install it later on but why would the ENTIRE system lose pressure like that if the compressor failed?

When my compressor failed it was because the front bags were shot. The rear was still full of air. If your whole car is down, you have a problem else where, my not be the compressor.

I went out and turned the switch back on turn the key on engine off and i can hear hissing from the compressor but no lift.

Check the drier. Its the large black canister that connects to the compressor. All four lines come out of it. When its running, jiggle it a little. If the hissing changes, the neck is broken. This is a good time to check for a leak where the lines go in too. Check each line.

You may also want to try removing and cleaning the relay contacts. Or swap the ABS relay over and test things. Sometimes a bad relay can cause some odd issues and low power.

But the hissing means a leak, regardless. Vent solenoid in the compressor stuck open or a damages line, etc. Find the leak.

Thanks guys. Just got home from work so Im going out right now to check it out.

Got it installed. Aired up and all seems normal. We will see for how long it lasts. I did not remove the entire assembly
. I just swapped the compressor itself, the relay and o ring. Removing the silencer made it easy. Thanks for the help guys...much appreciated.

The guy i got it from also gave me new isolators. Man this compressor is super quiet. I had to get out of the car to make sure the thing was on.

Is the baseline ride height dtermimed by the sensors or the module? After reconnecting the battery it airred up past my sensor loweree height.

I found the problem. The vent on the used replacement wasnt opening. I switched the vent from my old one to the replacement. It vented nicely but now the compressor doesnt want to run right. Its not building enough pressure to lift. I think the screws holding the vent to the piston sleeve are super torque sensitive. Oh well I gave it a try...shopping for springs now. Couldnt have happened at a worse time too because my lady and I have a baby coming in 2 months. Well at least with the air springs out I can mod them and run bigger air line, tank, solenoids and Viair compressor. Thanks for the help. BTW I know I posted a lot on this thread but I was at work and this sh*t was bothering me all day like a song stuck in my head.
