Ok so My buddy ran into some money problems he's got a 95 thunderbird that he did a mark viii swap with cobra cams and cobra manifold, he has the rear subframe from a 97 mark with 4.10s and a locker. 3800 stall and jmod trans. It is still in the process of needing to be done. He wants $200 for the rear sub, but I have to do the work. Cobra manifold $200 and $200 for the converter. Or $1000 for the entire car? But I just can't have an other car here. Should take mine and build it piece by piece with it? It's not anything I can afford right away all at once and he's cool about that. Just wondering what you guys would do.
 
id just buy the whole car. take what you want, part/scrap the rest. Profit
 
A $1000 for everything is theft.
You could possibly make money on the deal.

Well the sub frame would be mine, the manifold would be mine, I might take out the converter but that's a bitch and a half, there really wouldn't be much profit. And I don't think it's worth the time and pain to swap to the cobra cam. If I was going to dig into it I'd do a comp c or something.

I know it's not too hard it's just I don't want to do a big job like that on my day off from working on cars. The car is in bad shape and I wouldn't want the engine anyways. I'd just put the manifold on the sub frame and again maybe the stall.
 
My 3800 stall converter is a Circle D and was $800 new. For $200, I would not be making any excuses to not pull the transmission and get that converter. $200 for the Cobra manifold? Geez, I paid $370 for mine with nothing attached to it. Again, PULL IT. Everything is a good deal here. If you bought the whole car for $1000, you're getting a deal. Otherwise, take what he has to offer and STILL get a good deal.

My price:

3800 stall- $800
Cobra intake and necessary parts associated- $450
4.10s/locker and bearing kit- $680

That's $1930 I paid for those parts new and you could get them for a measley $600. While not new, who cares. Look at the price difference! And I could bet that stall has a lot less abuse than mine does. I've beat the snot out of mine for 3 years and I've been shifting to the sky for the last year. Well, over 6500 rpms for the last 2 and only 7000 rpms for the last year. LOL If that stall is pretty fresh, it's worth $400+ alone. Hell, if I had the money(currently jobless), I'd pay you to pull it and give it to me. My blown car needs a big stall for $200. The one I have my eye on is like $850 LOL
 
There is money to be made. The question is, will it be you that makes it?
 
Well the car has an idle issue has had 3 different tunes thrown at it by Lasoto racing or something like that, it's so cheap because I help him put everything together. The car hasn't even been driven yet, the rear is used though and the manifold he got for $200 anyways.
 
Definitely worth it! Hell, I would take the Cobra manifold if you would want to sell it! Would also like to have a stall too!
 
Also he has an sct x2 that he will selle too unlocked my question is who would be able to give me a stock/mild tune? Then a 4.10 tune? And a 4.10 and cobra manifold and 90mm lightning maf tune? Who are your suggestions?
These would be to just get the car somewhat running properly until full blown dyno tune.

also, why do you need a lightning MAF? that's a MAF for boost IIRC.

Ok nice well I'll check him out and this guy that comes around our mustang performance shop once in a while Bob Kurgen he knows his **** too. As for the MAFs it's coming with the manifold.

bob kurgen? from illinois? he knows mustangs but hes also a dick if i remember correctly he bought a old fox off a buddy of mine forever ago

Mustangs yeah but fords in general.
 
Well I'm going to get the whole tbird for a grand. I'm thinking of actually tryin to fix it instead of pulling parts and putting on the lincoln.
