So, I am wondering what the average LS forum member is like. I'll go first. I'm a 33 year old conservative redneck cop from Kentucky. Married with kids. Started with a 2001 Pearl white LS V8 in 05, traded in 08, and just picked up a 2001 silver LS V8.

What's your story in a nutshell?

I'm a 36 yo metal fabricator with 2 teenagers from Northern California.
Recently got a 00 LS V8 .. Not sure the exact color, I call it champaign. :)

Next?

27(soon to be 28) year old male. Diesel mechanic. Not married and no kids! :) bought the black 2000 in 2010. She started knocking 2-3 months later and has been a project ever since! Crossing my fingers she'llbe running late summer!! Also traded my 05 durango for the silver 06 about 2 months ago.

63 yr. old retired US Marine, aviation flight systems tester. WMD site security systems installer. New home builder, 397 so far. Complete home renovator, 48 so far. Computer programmer/builder/tech, mainframe & PCs. My wife's 2000 LS basic V6 is the slowest of all my vehicles except my 1 ton 36 Ford stake bed, all original. My favorite car in my garage is 56 Ford Crown Victoria, 312 Thunderbird engine. My 1998 Volvo 2.3 turbo coupe is fun to drive. 2002 Ford Supercrew Lariet parts getter. Fastest best handling cars owned were my BMW M3 coupe & Mazda RX7 which both cost a lot to be competitive in local rally racing.

33 year old from Iowa. I remember seeing the LS in the commercials when I was younger and said some day I'll own one.

Have a 01 Black on Charcoal V8 with 175 grand on the car with motor and tranny replaced at 100 grand.

I've had a kidney and pancreas transplant in Oct 09.

Married with 2 step boys.

I just drove home from Greenfield. I have grandparents up there I went to visit. You close to there?
Pretty close. Greenfield is out east of Indy and I'm the south side in greenwood. You probably passed my exit (95 and 99) if you came up 65

I'm 46yrs young, born in Scandinavia, dragged to Canada by my folks in late '81. Manufacturing & IT server room operations & programming background, gave up the BS stress for a mobile office with a view, Paid tourist although haven't worked much since my wheel off incident, recently had a little medical thingy myself, living in sin for the past 15 years with a tall long legged German blonde who let's me get away with murder pretty much, no kids, they don't allow me to have any of those.

oh and I hate COPS ... Coil Over Plugs that is!

41yo industrial printing press mechanic, Hagerstown MD.

Chose this car over an '13 Mustang due to 1/4 the cost, 5/6 the performance and a lot more drivability and enjoyment vs. the stang.

Thank you for your service. Our veterans are under appreciated and I always try to tell them thanks. God bless you and your family. I always say if you are willing to go across the pond to protect us, I'll stay home and do the same!

I'm in my lower 40s, have a 2003 LS V8 and a 2000 Silverado, and work for the phone company. Married, two kids, one is in college and the other is in the Air Force. Started off working for the Army as a satellite network controller, up to and including typing commands into a console to make the spacecraft do stuff. Believe me when I say it sounds a lot more exciting than it actually was because in reality it was just typing command strings off a checklist into a dummy dedicated console inside a small room, then writing the results down in a ledger.

Oh, and I used to shop at that Sam's club at Hagerstown when I was stationed at Fort Detrick.

Damn Bro !!! ... hope all is well with you.

The first 6 months I lived in the hospital in Madison Wi, in and out of it. Stayed in it over a month at one time.

Oct 1st 2009 I went in and April 1st 2010 I was back full time at work.

I was on dialysis for a year before my transplant.

So I will say to anyone..if you can be a donor, please do it.

My wife, step boys, and I are so grateful someone decided to be one.

Many of my family and friends have become donors after seeing what it did for me.

:Beer Same here.

Single and just turned 38, single father of twin, soon to be 16yrs old, boys having had sole custody since they were a year and a half. Between work and kids, I have had little time for anything else for a very long time.
Honestly, I am mostly a truck guy but I loved my old Gen1 Taurus LX and I have wanted an LS since their release. The first time I saw one in person, I was in love. Finally decided to get one last year.
