So I have been noticing that my headlights are beginning to show signs that they are collecting water under the lenses. So now I am planning on replacing them, the question is what should I replace them with. I dont need to get Angel eyes because I see just fine with standard headlights but my worry is if I replace the lenses with the same kind that are on the car will I have a high chance of running the same problem and having to replace them again fairly soon or will I be okay. And if so if I went with angel eyes would I have a high potential of having the same problem?

Angel eyes have nothing to do with light projection... If you lenses have grey sealant (search), you can try rebaking them to reseal... also moisture can come from hairline cracks in the lenses. Doing the 3m restoration (search), with the minwax sealant can stop those leaks (did for mine)

Not sure what you mean by replacing lenses, but yes, I you buy used housings, it could happen again. If i where you, I'd take some time and figure out whats wrong with yours first...

If you do anything, make sure they are completely dry inside before you reinstall. The slightest moisture with refog the lenses after install

Angle eyes are the round ring of light around the headlights. They in no way improve or alter your ability to see at night. They are strictly there as a cosmetic feature for others to look at.

Are you confusing them with HIDs, which do improve light output?

In the case of factory HIDs (the only way to do it right), the lens and the housing is exactly the same for halogen or HID (the reflectors are different), so the odds of your problem are the same.

In the case of aftermarket HID or angle eyes (all are aftermarket), the factory lens is used, but since the headlight is cut open and then resealed, the odds of water getting in are increased.

Your factory lights went over 12+ years. If you buy new OEM lights, will you be that upset if you have to replace them again when your LS is 25 years old? BTW, new factory headlights are very expensive (over $1000 for a set), and new factory HIDs are probably $2500 a set.

My 1st Gen had condensation on the passenger side. I found a rubber vent tube that was clogged. That was the end of that.

Is there a thread on here that can teach me how to re-wire my lights so the fogs will stay on with the hi-beams?

You'll have to do some research. I looked into it a little bit and honestly it's not worth my trouble. From what I've read, you'll be wiring in some relays and if you're running hi-beams, chances are your fogs are worthless at that point and vice versa. If it's just for show, I still don't think it's worth it.

Not just for show. I will be doing a performance upgrade on the fogs for high speed driving. Looking to have very bright lights in that position as driving lights as I will be going to selective yellow for the low beams. Thanks.
