I thought someone mentioned this weight oil is approved by Ford for our cars. I have a 2000 V6 and its freakin -10 out right now. Anyone know for sure?
 
Yes, it is. As a rule, anywhere you can use 5W20, you can use 0W20 instead. Mobil 1 0W20 meets Ford's specs for the LS.
 
I think my 2000 manual states 5W-30 but I know Ford changes specs over time thats why I was asking. Thanks

Yes, I don't recall the TSB, but several years ago they said it was okay to switch to 5W20 in the gen I LS.
 
Been using it for the last 13k miles in a 2005 V8. No problems. Oil analysis came back nice at my last change.
