Heated seat

Hello all,

I'm having an issue with the driver side heated seat. When it's cold and only when it's cold the heat turns on for 2 min then shuts down. Also if you turn on the heat and wait about 2 to 5 min before sitting down it will work just fine. it's like when sitting down you cause it to over heat and it turns off. but, like i said it only does this when cold. any help would be great.

Sounds like the butt pad ductwork is getting crushed. It's a known issue, and there is a TSB. It requires duct replacement. The duct is a foam pad with tubes though it. I bought one about 5 years ago for $30. I think I still have the TSB at home, and I'll try to PM it to you tomorrow.

Other info you will need to get the seat apart and back together to replace this.
