What have you guys used to install the license plate frame on a 95? The holes are 5/16" I'm thinking monster pop washers.

5/16 rivets

Couple guys have made earth magnet mounts.

Yeah hot glue, earth magnets and some plastic dip. Grainger sells them at a good price. Then you can remove them at a car show. I haunt done it yet but I got the supplys.

Dd

It's the wifes DD No plans of ever taking it off again The bumper is off so I'll just bolt it on. You can find some real strong magnets on your old hard drives.

molly

the orginal's were a molly anchor with 3 arms that held it from inside. The 3 arms conformed to the curve on the inside. Got the bolts and lock nuts ready

I've never seen a frame held to the bumper with plastic rivets

Earth magnet??

Rare earth magnets. Very strong magnets typically used in DC electric motors. An idea, an armature on some of the larger nutrunners I work on will crush your fingers if you get it too close to anything steel, like our teardown bench (3/4" plate)

JB weld a few behind the bumper cover, and corresponding (and correctly polarized) on the back of the plate holder for a no drill solution to front plate requirements.

I've only removed 5 or 6 plate frames from Marks, but they were all held on with steel rivets -shrug-.. you may be right, I'm just saying I've never personally seen plastic rivets being used

With one of my next projects, I'll be ordering some magnets, I've used them for lots of things and they are super strong. If you used 4 of the 1"x1" you'd need a good arm to pull it off

A friend of mine also has his spring loaded under the front bumper. I know 97markJa has a good set up.
