Might be screwed

Bought some mille miglia ravia rims today with an offset of 35 (thought I remembered seeing someone on here with offset of 28, but it was 38) guess that's what I get for thinking. Either way I couldn't resist at the price I got them for. The rims are 18x7.5, what do I risk running that low of an offset other than the rim sticking out of the fender well a bit?

Aside from the risk of ricism, the only risk comes from tire to fender contact. If this happens then you can either mess up the fenders or slice the tires open depending on how hard the contact is. If it's not too bad you can get by with a fender rolling and you can get a tool to take care of that. If they are too far off you start getting into things like having the fenderwells cut out and metal added which I'd never recommend doing just to accommodate a set of wheels. If this is the case you'd be better off returning the wheels.

Actually I just seen a post from tirerack on a forum that the rims are a 40 offset. I'd like to believe tirerack than wiki idiots. Which tires would be good? I don't want Rubberbands but then again I don't want superswampers

I have used 245/45s and am currently running 255/40s. If you want the closest to stock size you will need a 265/40 tire. The 255s I'm running now are a little harsh and will probably go back to a 245/45. Then again, the wheels are 8" wide so I may try the 265/40.

Clean up the back of the spokes. The offset should be engraved on there.
