well the more i think about it and the more i look at it, the more i think my trans is done.

blew the 1-2 accumulator last winter.
and just blew something.

so i think im going to swap in a manual trans, that being said i know the T45 and the 3650 fit in for 5 speeds, and the T56 and the 6060 fit for 6 speeds.

so what is my best option for a trans that's not a huge amount of money, and where is the best place to find one.

i know i need the trans.

modified brake peddle, or cluch assm. out of a super coupe

clutch cylinder and slave cylinder.

new drive shaft? maybe

anything els???

but im sick of my trans failing! so i see this as my best option. :steering

your also gonna need a possibly custom shift linkage.
and you will need a custom driveshaft.

If you're asking which would be cheaper, you haven't done enough research

i know the T45 is cheapest. and i also know its the worst.

i guess what im trying to ask is, would it be worth it to put in a T45. would i have problems with it at stock ratings?

i was thinking about pulling one and rebuilding it.

Cheapest way to be done is buy JY auto trans for 200 and be done. Those T5 vids are on the easiest trans to tear down. Can do one of those blind folded. Now the looks of my 3650 no way with 3 shift rails and stuff.

I have seen these cheap its my 3650. You would want the year newer without shifter housing in rear of trans.

3650 is the best choice for budget minded builders. I do agree with Sapperfire that if you dont already know that you have not done nearly enough research.

Is your trans already jmodded? Or are you planning on doing it when you put in the new accumulaters and springs? I'd like to know for future reference on which drilling pattern the 95 trans needs since several years are different.

Ecm needs relocated

1pc driveshaft shortened 1"

Clutch/ trans / flywheel

Shifter linkage needs to be addressed depending on trans used

Supercoupe clutch and brake assembly

Trans wiring

Clutch master/slave addressed

Speed cal on gen 1s iirc

Tune on gen 2s iirc

Better off just throwing a used auto trans in it

Supercoupe clutch and brake assembly

Need this first, hard to find.
I guess if push comes to shove a pedal could be fabricated.
Forget the t-45.
Dash should be pulled to be done right.

Not a "bolt" on.
+2 on the research.

A local junkyard has a supercoupe that is smashed like a pancake with 5 other cars on top of it, guy wants 100 bucks for pedal assemblies only.

I actually located an MN12 clutch and brake pedal assemblies from one of the TBIRD boards a few weeks ago.

I paid $85 shipped for the -

Clutch Assembly
Brake Assembly
Master Cylinder, Lines, and reservoir.

I think the guy still has another entire setup available.

Agreed. I put a tremec TKO 600 in my old 90 Mark VII LSC, although similar, the VIII will require more work.

Someone on here used a mustang pedal assembly, but it turned into be more of a "hack job" to get it to work.

My plans are exactly what you mentioned with the dash.

This winter I will disassemble my pedal assemblies, get them cleaned up and painted a nice gloss black. Then remove the dash to do my blend door and that will be the perfect time to install these pedals.

I did the pedals on the VII with the dash in the car, not a fun job...so I can only imagine on the VIII what it'll be like...

Dash out? Should be a breeze. :shifty::D
