So over the winter my rear bumper got damaged. I searched for a while and came across a black rear sport bumper from a guy on craigslist.

Since I have owned my car my front bumper was a non sport bumper that someone painted over the chrome to make it all black before I got the car.

So I ask the guy if he also has the front sport bumper, and he does and sells me both front and rear bumpers. Finally got the back bumper I got from the guy painted as it had some blemishes. Install both bumpers today. When going to put the front one on it looks like the grille portion on the lower part of bumper is cracked. Further inspection I see it is actually an insert that can come out. The right side part of the grille can come out. My question is for what??? I dont ever remember reading anything on the board about that??? And why only the sport bumper has it and not the non-sport one????

for a toe hook, they originally planned to sell the car in Europe, and its something you got to have there. i wish that they did that for all cars here.

That's the cover for the tow hook. Good luck finding one.......

I sold mine to Stallone about a month and a half ago. I know where 3 are locally. Just have to schmooze the old guy who owns them.

ok, that is what I figured it might be but why onlt the sport bumper??? Or was it certain years?? Also dont see anywhere behind it to screw a tow hook into unless again because it was not on my year car???

without going outside and looking at it, I recall there being a plug-in cover for block heaters aswell. or it might be off to the right of it, can't recall now.

I personally can't stand the little enclosure, could do without,
I would never have it towed but rather flatbedded somewhere.

Because it was a requirement for sale in Europe. Look closely and you will see a captured nut.

It's not for towing; it's for pulling the car out of a ditch.

DING, we have a winner!

you would never want to tow a car for an extended amount of time from a point so far off center.
