No start... no crank, no click

Nope, no flood. But I've battled coolant leaking and overheating issues in the past and again recently when I found oil in the coolant. Plastic cooling system components and some hoses were replaced around a year ago, and some more hoses again recently along with the oil cooler. I don't know how...

No start... no crank, no click

I ordered Motorcraft NSA6652N starter which was different from the factory part number but appeared to be compatible, and indeed it fit perfectly. Top bolt was tricky to reach and get on and off but eventually got it with some combination of wrenches/sockets. Car started right up instantly so...

No start... no crank, no click

Btw, rockauto lists a few, from $60 up to $140 for motorcraft starter... When shopping for cooling system parts I know the consensus is aftermarket (Dorman) is junk and to go with factory.... Is there a similar opinion for starters or will cheaper options work as well at least for first few...

No start... no crank, no click

You're right... Meant to say I'll order a new starter.

No start... no crank, no click

Thanks guys. I knocked on the starter previously... Last night I had a friend turn the key while trying again to knock on it, absolutely so sound or movement at all from it while doing that. I'll order a new solenoid and give that a shot. Thanks again.

No start... no crank, no click

2004 LS V8, ~90k miles My LS had a few starts that seemed slow, like a weak battery. It's been sitting a lot lately and my recent trips in it were very short distances. So I went to charge the battery but also wanted to investigate the parasitic draw. It was pulling steady .7A after settling...

Yep, that's the one. Thanks for your help.

    Short hose on EGR module

The hose in my hand is what I thought was connected to (and from?) the EGR. It's just a 6 inch hose, the hose itself is not broken in the pic. But the small black plastic nipple that one end attaches to is broken off inside it. This is issue 1 in my original post. Issue 2: For the fitting...

    Short hose on EGR module

My mistake.. late night post. Yes it is gen II, 2004 V8. Isn't 3W4Z-9E498-BA the two rubber connectors to the right of the picture? The circled barbed fitting (top circle) is what is missing a hose... it was hard plastic, rather thin and of course brittle, NOT rubber at all... which is why I...

    Short hose on EGR module

    1) In the picture I am holding the short hose that attaches within the EGR module... The exposed end has broken off with the plastic inside it. 2) The fitting circled at the top of the picture connects via a hose which runs to the left... I don't know what it's called, but it has broken in...
