I am about to rotate back to the states and I am REALLY looking for GEN II mark. My ideal mark is a Black on black with under 75000 and all the options...

I can get over the Sunroof I guess but I really want the black on black!

I can't figure out what else I am willing to budge on...

I really didn't want to spend more than 5000 dollars so I would have some play money to do the things I want to it but heres my question...

What would you pay for the Gen II mark that fit your bill to a "t"

If condition is something of importance to you, then mint stock 98 will cost $6k -$8k depending on what part of the country you're in.

Before everybody comes in here, and tells you that you they bought a mint one for $2k or so, stop and take a look around you. I am not talking about ding specials, filthy interiors, broken trim pieces, rust buckets and so on. Good condition for someone is rough for someone else.

I wouldn't hesitate pay that much if the car was really it. I paid more and I paid way less in the past for the 4 marks I owned.

It sounds like you really want your dream car, so spend the time, and spend the money finding the one you'll be very happy with. Remember these cars, even the 2nd gen ones, are knocking on being 10 yrs old, so condition would be primary concern IMHO.

Thanks guys...I have moved my cap up to 6000... and have found a few examples... its just hard being overseas right now!

[i have to agree with this statement... It is very difficult to find a near mint car... either way youre gonna spend money on getting it in very good condtion whether you buy it like that or not. I can say i have spent a putload of money on mine and it is not near mint...but it looks damn good.:)
