What do you think about the color? I painted my stock wheels because they were in pretty bad shape.
dont mind the tires. i smeared petroleum jelly on them to resist the paint. it didnt work too well but if i decide to change the wheel color again ill clean the tires later.

If they were indeed in bad shape i'd give them a 8/10..

not a good color choice for the car...those stock rims are te same ones i got but i can get that same color if i don't wash my wheels for a few months....just my opinion...

ya i dont like the color either. im prob gonna sand them down again...

i was sitting on one of the wheels when i was doing brakes and rotors and ss brake lines when i accidently got brake cleaner on the wheel, i set a rag on the wheel and when i picked it up where the rag was sitting was a huge white spot where the clear had been taken off. so i decided to sand them down and took a shot at the charcoal color. ill prob go back to silver.

Or go flat black....I got the same color LS and i'm going with Mesh rims with a chrome lip.

Maybe you could see into something like that. Once my tires where out I'm actually gonna through Blizzaks or some snowtires on..keep those around as snow tires, then throw on the 19s

A bit tunerish but I like it. With some work like lowering and a bumper swap IMO it can look good! Oh yeah, spacers would help!

You should really shrink down the size, it would help if the entire car was in view without having to scroll.

thats what i want. a grey/silver sport mesh wheel with a deep polished lip.

I dont think the flat black will look good, the color looked pretty flat before i cleared it.

Sorry about the resolution, i sometimes forget ppl dont have huge monitors.

I've never seen gloss black look good with the birch silver. I want it flat black so it can match the black paint i'm applying to the calipers and Instead of chrome i'm most likely getting the rest of the wheel satin so it can match the R1 Concepts rotors. A nice abstract look

I was considering the MOZ Stroke. It will look nice with the Idea I have in mind.....

Hey fonsito, you still have pics of your LS with those painted stock 17's? I might give that a try...

looks better than stock appearance, nice.

I'd like to see an image from further away. I was wondering what that color would look like on a silver car. So far I'm not digging it. From here it looks like you did a quality job on the paint though.

I think it looks pretty good. If you're repainting them, then I might go slightly lighter shade of graphite, but it does give it a stand out look.

Doesn't look bad - good improvement if your wheels were in bad shape. Any "before" pics?

-To zoom in or out use CTRL and + or - keys in most web browsers - helps on the large pics.

lmao

nah u should darken it a little more black then darken the car, darken the tint, maybe tint the side markers...... or tape it black if u dont have a job... u know... i would

looks good man im going to paint mine to but ill be going darker this gives me an idea of how my car will look silver and black looks good =) what paint brand did you use ?

duplicolor wheel about 3 coats of charcoal and 2 coats of clear. make sure u sand ur wheels down fine first, if you want a really nice finish you need to use etching primer and filler primer before the paint and sand that smooth with like 2000
