I searched this first, but didn't find anything:
A friend of mine who owns a 2000 LS 6, said he was told that all LS' have the SST + - shift capability! All our vehicles are mechanically equipped with this option, however, the plastic trim cover either has the slot for it if the option was chosen, or has the slot covered up. I am gonna pull mine apart when I get home.
He had his vehicle in for servicing, something was wrong with the shifter. When he got it back, voila! They installed the SST plate, and he magically had the ability to shift + -.
Am I the only one that didn't know this?
