Where is the best place to mount the XM antenna? I know it won't hold the trunklid, and I would prefer it to be inside the car so it doesn't look like :q .

Pictures would be nice as well.

If a thunderstorm didn't just roll in, I would take a picture. I have the Mini-Micro antenna and I have it all the way in the back in the center by the child restraint bracket. I ran the wire behind the rear seats, down the side, under the sill plates, under the carpet in the front, back around up to the center console, then to my XM Roady which is mounted in front of my ash tray. It looks like a permanent install as the only wire you see is the one going to the cassette deck. I modified (nothing permanent) the ash tray so my XM power adapter would fit inside there, where I leave it connected all the time. I plan to splice my CD changer outputs to use that as a line-in...maybe with a switch. It sounds like I am listening to a cassette all the time. :) You may have to have a CD playing for it to work, but I will do some testing and find out.

I never lose signal and nobody ever sees the antenna. It is on carpet, so it isn't going anywhere and the way I have the cable, it shouldn't go far in a minor accident. I never wanted to mount it in the front on the dash, but many people have done that with success.

would it sit well on top of the center mounted brake light? you could drill through the plastic piece to run the wires through. It is probably the only not external spot I can think of that would get that much exposure.

PICTURES of the antenna and "receiver"!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the xm for my sony radio, so I have to also find room for the 2 direct connect boxes, and I can't really find anything to mount them to behind the dash. Looks like I might have to mod the glove box to hold them as well.

Hated. How much cabling do you have to work with?

I have sirius... put the antenna on the rear deck. Good reception and doesn't move around.

The cable comes up through the child restraint clip trim.

I have about 2-3 feet of cable to connect radio to 1st box, and another 2-3 feet of cable to connect the 1st and 2nd boxes.

Either box fits nicely in the slot under the cd changer in the glove box, but not both. Just looking around for anymore room in the same area was near impossible.

This probably isn't going to help you as I have the Roady, but here are pics anyway. At least the radio allows you to leave the tape adapter in there when you switch to radio or CD which is nice.
