So in my attempts to free the rubber steering coupler joint from the black collapsable steering shaft, I fubar'd the whole darn thing. I broke the white plastic bearing that's inside the rubber firewall gromet, I broke the plastic rivits in the breakaway section of the shaft just under the dash, and I knocked off the round nut on the end of the black shaft that the rubber coupler jount bolt screws in to.

So does anyone have one of these that's not been killed? Lol

I may be able to save the black metal sleeve shaft by welding the round nut back on. But the plastic bearing on that plastic sleeve is definitely boned.

Could possibly also replace the steel/plastic rivits in the breakaway shaft with grade 6 nuts/bolts and hope I don't wreck lol

Anyway, let me know if you have what I'm looking for, and how much.

Thanks

Jesse
