I know vacuum leaks and MAFs are the two most common causes of a P0171, when replacing my VCGs I cracked the PCV tube from the valve to under the throttle body. I had it taped up for a quixk fix for a while, but the tabe is certainly older and looser now and I'm throwing the code. Just wondering if this could be the culprit before spending 30 buucks on a new tube..

If you have a vacuum leak after the MAF you will have undetected air being introduced to the motor, the O2 sensors will notice this extra air setting the lean code.

Replace the line, clear the codes, drive 40 miles scan for codes.
