Im 21. Ive worked at dealerships for the last 4 years. Worked at a toyota dealership that literally sold on average 1 car every 10 minutes. anywhere from 500-700 cars a month. Now im at a mercedes benz dealership. there lucky to sell 1 car a day on average. Down here in cincinnati thats how it works, cars get a hold or even a sold sticker put in them while in financing, can even put a deposit down on one (nonrefundable). Atleast everywhere ive worked its been like that. Im not being a baby about loosing a car, im just mad that cars KEEP getting sold out from under me. this has happened alot more then once, but never at a dealership befor. I know how sales managers and salesmen are, my hate for them is more then most of you will know. Sales manager's think they are top dog IN THE WORLD. They just all have the same attitude and personality about them thinking they are better then everyone and make so much money. I know they dont care about me or anyone else other then there immediate family.

Ill find another one im sure. Hopefully even a 6 speed. Im not a traitor, im just tired of putting up slow times and have a mod list to choose form that i can literally write down on my pointer finger. Plus my love for fbodys is pretty strong.

Best to have pre-approved loan before shopping especially in the current credit market.

Sometimes younger kids aren't taken as seriously due to their age. I am willing to bet that car dealerships are no different with that either. It is just the way the world works. Don't expect a car to be held for you unless you put a deposit down or are working financing in-house with the dealer. If I was a salesman at the dealer I would have done the same thing because it is about business, not buddies. This sounds like a good lesson learned for you to use in the future though.

sucks man, I hate dealers period, have had a good few headbutts w/ a few around me. Not surprised if I am black/red flagged at some of them haha. And unless you put money down, car is anyones who brings the money first, dealers cannot take a chance that someone is working on a deal w/ a finance place and not go w/ the person who walked in and got approved or dropped the cash before. :q:q:q:qttty as heck but that is how it goes.

Yea the inhouse financing makes sense. but when i bought this lincoln it was held for me no problems with no deposit. i tried to put a deposit down on it but they wouldnt take one.

I know you were joking about the traitor mark man lol, i reply'd to that at 7AM iin the morning, so my sense of humor was a little off.

Its all good though. I think im gonna just wait 2 more years and keep this lincoln. use it for a daily driver and pay liability on it. When i get a new car it can sit out of the elements and be more of a "track/weekend" car
